Srijan Scam:
A Rs.880 crore corruption scandal has engulfed Bihar and plunged its government in crisis. Chief minister Nitish Kumar and his new ally, the BJP, is fighting charges from the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
The fresh political turmoil roiling the state came just days after the chief minister switched allies, and dumped the RJD and Grand Alliance in favor of the saffron BJP party.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi's cousin Rekha Modi's house was raided by the income tax department in Bihar's much-awaited Srijan scandal. The Income Tax Department's team has raided Patna in Bhagalpur, Purnea, Delhi, and Mumbai on Thursday. The shops and big establishments that are being raided in Bhagalpur include Big Shop, Fashion Planet, Menmade, Fashion Point, Progress, Revoke and Spike's Show Room. Income tax team has reached the houses of their owners too.
