SC to seal Amrapali's properties
Ipseeta Das (Delhi) - The Supreme Court of India ordered to seal 7 properties owned by the Amrapali Group which is located in Noida and Greater Noida. The bench also orders to seal two more properties situated in Rajgir and Buxar in Bihar. The bench of Justices UU Lalit and DY Chandrachud gave this order on 10th October,
Wednesday and said after sealing the keys should be handed over to the registrar of Apex Court.
On 9th October 2018, Tuesday the court ordered the three directors Anil Kumar Sharma, Shiv Priya and Ajay Kumar to handover all the documents of 46 group companies to the forensic people. On 20th September, the court ordered NBCC to oversee all the Amarpali projects and open tenders for contractors who are interested to complete them. The amount received from the sold properties will be deposited in to the account of apex court and will pay away to the NBCC after completing the unfinished projects. The NBCC had provided a deal of completing 15 residential projects of 46,575 flats within a budget of 8,500 crore.
The courts also ordered the directors of the Amrapali Group to provide an undertaking which would state that they don't have any documents hidden other than these 9 properties.
