Voice to years of anger – Me Too: Anurag Kashyap
Me too movement in India is a voice to the anger which is unearthed after so many years says the famous director Mr. Anurag Kashyap. Reportedly Anurag is entangled in a conflict with his former business partner Vikash Bahl who is a famous director too.
Vikas Bahl is also facing the allegations of Me Too for harassing an employee of Phantom Films which was founded by Anurag Kashyap, Vikash Bahl, Vikramaditya Motwane as well as Madhu Mantena on 2011 and is stated as the 'director's company'.
While the allegations are yet to be proved in front of the public and Supreme Court both the directors Kashyap as well as Motwane had denied the allegation of being involved in the crime.
In his recent interview with Times of India, he clarified his point of view for the movement which has been awful since it has been started.
When he was asked to generalize the entire movement in his views, he said he can't say much because this situation might misunderstand his views. He was silent to rescue the victim since so many years. He also said he is ready to take the consequences and had stepped back from the work. He will never explain his deeds as his priority is something different.
When he said about 'priority' he meant a peaceful life for the victim.
When he was asked of his views on other women not coming for legal action unlike Tanushree Dutta and Vinita Nanda he said, everyone slowly understands the mass movement and will gradually come up with the right path. This process will take time. He also added that he doesn't want to make any further comments before proving his innocence.
On the other hand, the victim of Vikas Bahl sexual harassment said she takes back her case and does not will to get any further verdict for the same on 26th of October.
Vikas Bahl is now expecting the court to direct Kashyap, Motwane along with Mantena to stop speaking about this case in public and wants Rs 10 crore against his defamation.
