NSA Ajit Doval: Strong government for India is Mandatory
The National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on 25th October said that further weak coalitions will be very harmful and future India needs to be governed by a strong as well as resolute government to accomplish a better economic, political and strategic objectives of India.
While giving his speech in the Sardar Patel Memorial Lecture he mentioned that the last four years of the country saw a huge change in the 'national will'.
He said India's biggest strength is its Democracy which should be protected. He mentioned all this while speaking on a topic 'Dream India 2030- Avoiding the pitfalls.'
He said, "Weakened democracies can tend to make any country powerless. And for the coming few years India can't afford to have a soft power. India has to take some hard decisions in the future."
He also added that a soft government makes many compromises. And these compromises will precedent the political survival of the country.
The shattered politics will never allow India to work for the national will because a soft government would fail to take hard decisions, he said.
The hard decisions which would be taken will be surely good for the public but will not be necessarily a populist, the NSA said.
He even mentioned, "India will need a strong, stable, decisive government for the next 10 years, let there be no doubt about it, to achieve our national, political, economic and strategic objectives."
He even gave the example of Brazil which was having a good experience globally but was weak politically.
He concluded by saying, "India needs a decisive government as well as leadership till 2030."
